General Surgeon

Dr Reizal Mohd Rosli is a board-certified general surgeon with a special interest in colorectal surgery. Originally from Malaysia, Reizal completed his tertiary education at the University of Melbourne, graduating in 2009 with a double degree in Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSc) and Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).

Reizal’s training in General Surgery was primarily based in Adelaide, South Australia, which also included valuable experience through placements at Alice Springs Hospital, NT, and Frimley Park Hospital, United Kingdom. In 2023, he achieved Fellowship status with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), recognising his expertise and commitment to the field.

Motivated by a strong personal interest in colorectal surgery, Reizal dedicated a fellowship year in 2024 at Box Hill Hospital, Victoria, with a focus on developing his expertise in minimally invasive (“key-hole”) colorectal operations. During his time at Box Hill Hospital, Reizal obtained accreditation from the Gastroenterology Society of Australia (GESA) to independently perform colonoscopies.

In 2025, Reizal undertook a second fellowship year at Townsville University Hospital in Queensland, specifically focusing on robotic surgery with the da Vinci Xi surgical system. Through these advanced training opportunities, Reizal has expanded his ability to offer both minimally invasive and robotic surgical options, benefitting a wider range of patients in need of colorectal surgical care.
